Italian legislation on packaging environmental marking
16.12.2022The legislative decree amended Italian environmental law in the following areas: packaging labeling for environmental reasons; the circular economy; and the expanded liability of producers for the trash they produce, waste management, and transportation.
According to the revised standards for packaging's environmental labeling, packaging must now include mandatory labels.

Tokyo/London, 6th October, 2021 - Hitachi has set a new global record* by releasing the world's first zero-carbon film today. A total of 30 cast and crew members worked on the zero-carbon film, which was totally powered by bikers and a solar-powered generator, resulting in zero carbon emissions from energy use.

Hitachi joins UN Race to Zero campaign
26.02.2021Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501, “Hitachi”) today announces it has joined the UN Race to Zero campaign through the Business Ambition for 1.5°C and commits to aligning its business with the most ambitious aim of the Paris Agreement - to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C above preindustrial levels.
Hitachi has several long-term environmental targets, including striving to achieve carbon neutrality at all its business sites (factories and offices) by fiscal 2030 and to achieve an 80% reduction in CO₂ emissions across the company’s value chain by fiscal 2050, compared to fiscal 2010. The target at all business sites aligns with the Business Ambition for 1.5°C pledge.
